Helix Steel makes a twisted steel micro-rebar that is mixed into the concrete and distributes through the pour rather than being tied in place. It is used where a design substitutes distributed reinforcement for some conventional bar or mesh, which requires engineering approval and a code evaluation report rather than a contractor's judgment. Dosage is specified in pounds per cubic yard.
