Concrete Prices by State

Concrete cost by state, with the full methodology: what each source reports, where they contradict each other, and the federal price index as the objective trend.

$110–$205 per cubic yard depending on region, with most of the US falling between $130 and $180.

How we source price figures

We do not run a proprietary price survey, and we do not claim one. Published US ready-mix prices disagree by nearly two to one, and much of what circulates online consists of aggregators citing each other while attributing figures to NRMCA regional surveys that have no public dataset. Rather than join that chain, we publish each source by name with the range it reports, and we chart the federal Producer Price Index as the objective trend line. Treat every dollar figure on this site as an industry estimate, not a quote.

The objective trend line

The BLS Producer Price Index for ready-mix concrete manufacturing (series PCU3273232732, December 2003 = 100) is primary federal government data. The latest value is 259.281 (2026-06). Essentially flat since March 2026 — price stabilization after the post-2021 spike. FRED PCU3273232732
