Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026. Last updated: 2026.
These terms govern your use of concreteinfo.shop, published by ConcreteInfo Media LLC (“ConcreteInfo,” “we,” “us”). Read them before you rely on anything here.
1. Acceptance
By accessing this site you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. The content is informational only
This is the most important term on the page, so it comes before the boilerplate.
ConcreteInfo publishes general reference information about concrete and cement. Nothing on this site is engineering advice, architectural advice, legal advice, or a professional opinion of any kind, and using the site creates no professional relationship between you and us.
Specifically:
- Structural work must be designed by a licensed engineer. Footings, foundations, retaining walls, structural slabs, load-bearing elements and any element whose failure could injure someone require design by a professional licensed in your jurisdiction, who can see your site, soil and drawings.
- Our calculators are estimating aids. They show their formulas and assumptions so you can check them. They do not know your soil, your loads, your climate, your local amendments or your site conditions. Confirm quantities with your ready-mix supplier before ordering, and confirm design values with your engineer.
- Code, permit, inspection and licensing information is general. Requirements are set by your local authority having jurisdiction, and they differ between neighboring towns. Verify with your building department before you build. We explain why we refuse to publish national tables for these in our methodology.
- Price figures are industry estimates, not quotes. Published sources disagree substantially. Only your supplier can quote you.
- Safety information is general. Concrete work involves chemical burns, silica dust, heavy equipment and excavation collapse. Follow OSHA requirements, manufacturer safety data sheets and your employer’s program.
You are responsible for how you use what you read here.
3. No warranty
The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.
We work hard on accuracy — our editorial policy sets out how — but we do not warrant that the content is complete, current, error-free or suitable for your project, or that the site will be uninterrupted or free of harmful components. Standards, codes and prices change, and a page accurate on its review date may not be accurate today.
4. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ConcreteInfo Media LLC and its owners, officers, employees and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, construction defects, remediation or rework costs, project delays, property damage or personal injury, arising from or related to your use of this site or reliance on its content — even if we were advised such damages were possible.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of certain damages, so parts of sections 3 and 4 may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
5. Intellectual property
Our content. The text, page structure, tables, calculators, illustrations, code and compilation of data on this site are owned by ConcreteInfo Media LLC and protected by United States and international copyright law. You may read, print and share pages for your own personal or internal business use, and you may quote briefly with attribution and a link. You may not republish, syndicate, mirror or sell our content, or use it to train or fine-tune a machine learning model, without our written permission. To ask, email [email protected] — for most non-commercial uses the answer is yes.
Third-party standards. ASTM, ACI and other standards documents are the copyrighted property of their publishers. We summarize scope and purpose in our own words and link to the publisher. We do not reproduce their text, tables or numeric limits, and neither should you.
Third-party trademarks. Manufacturer names, product names and color names — including the color names used by pigment and stain manufacturers — are the trademarks of their respective owners. We use them as editorial reference, for identification and comparison only. Their use here does not imply affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those companies, and it does not imply that we are their authorized dealer or representative.
Government material. Content from federal agencies is used consistently with its public-domain or reuse terms.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl or harvest the site at a rate or scale that burdens our infrastructure, or in circumvention of our robots directives;
- Republish substantial portions of the content elsewhere, in any language, or use it as training data for a machine learning model, without written permission;
- Misrepresent our content, including presenting our estimates as guarantees, our general information as engineering advice, or edited versions of our pages as our work;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure, probe for vulnerabilities, or interfere with its operation;
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose, or to infringe anyone’s rights.
Automated access for search indexing and reasonable, rate-limited research is welcome.
7. Third-party links, advertising and affiliate links
The site links to manufacturers, standards bodies, government agencies, retailers and other publishers. We do not control those sites, do not endorse them merely by linking, and are not responsible for their content, products, availability, or privacy practices. Your dealings with any third party — including any purchase — are between you and them.
Some outbound links are affiliate links, and display advertising is served by third parties. Details in our affiliate disclosure and advertising disclosure. Advertising does not influence editorial content, and we do not accept payment for favorable coverage.
8. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, follow the procedure on our DMCA page.
9. Changes to the site and to these terms
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time. We may revise these terms; if we do, we will update the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be noted on this page. Continuing to use the site after a revision means you accept the revised terms.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and ConcreteInfo Media LLC agree that any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief where appropriate.
If you are a consumer, this section does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law where you reside.
11. General
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect and the unenforceable provision is limited to the minimum extent necessary. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor of our business. These terms, together with our privacy policy and the disclosures referenced above, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the site.
