Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026. Last updated: 2026.
This policy explains what ConcreteInfo collects when you visit this site, why, who else receives it, and what you can require us to do about it. ConcreteInfo is operated by ConcreteInfo Media LLC (“we,” “us”), publisher of concreteinfo.shop. We serve readers in the United States.
Read it alongside our cookie policy, which covers the storage technologies in detail.
The short version
We do not sell your personal information for money, we do not ask you to create an account, and we do not run a newsletter list. We do run advertising and analytics, and those involve third parties that receive data about your visit. Under California law, some of that advertising activity counts as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you have the right to stop it. The section on your California rights explains how.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you email [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use it to answer you and to act on corrections or accessibility reports, nothing else.
Information collected automatically. When you load a page, our hosting and analytics receive standard web request data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system and device type, the page you requested, the referring page, timestamps, and general interaction data such as which pages you viewed and roughly how long you stayed. IP addresses imply approximate location — typically the city or region, not a precise position. We do not collect precise geolocation.
Information collected by cookies and similar technologies. Analytics and advertising cookies, pixels, local storage and advertising identifiers, in the categories described in our cookie policy.
Information from advertising partners. Our advertising partners may receive and process data about your visit directly through the ad units on our pages, and may combine it with data they hold from other sites.
What we do not collect. We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account or payment card numbers, government ID numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, health data, or account credentials. We have no login, no checkout and no user accounts. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information as defined by California law, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
Categories of personal information (California disclosure)
Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, in the past 12 months we have collected the following categories.
| Category | Examples | Source | Purpose | Disclosed to |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | IP address, device and cookie identifiers, email address if you write to us | Directly from your device; from you | Serve and secure the site, analytics, advertising, answer your email | Hosting, analytics and advertising partners |
| Internet or network activity | Pages viewed, referring URL, browser and OS, interaction data | Automatically from your device | Measure and improve content, serve advertising | Analytics and advertising partners |
| Geolocation (approximate) | City or region inferred from IP | Automatically from your device | Regional relevance, ad delivery, fraud prevention | Analytics and advertising partners |
| Commercial information | Which product links you clicked | Automatically | Measure affiliate performance | Affiliate networks and merchants |
| Inferences | Advertising interest segments derived by our partners | Advertising partners | Advertising | Advertising partners |
We keep these categories for the retention periods described below, and we do not use them for any purpose incompatible with the ones listed.
Why we process this data
- To operate and secure the site — serving pages, preventing abuse, diagnosing errors.
- To understand what readers need — aggregate analytics telling us which answers get read, which searches fail, and where people leave.
- To fund the site — display advertising and affiliate links are how ConcreteInfo pays for itself. See our advertising disclosure.
- To respond to you — answering email, processing corrections, handling accessibility reports and legal requests.
- To meet legal obligations — responding to lawful requests and enforcing our terms of service.
Advertising and analytics partners
Advertising on this site is served by third parties. Those partners, and the vendors they work with, may set cookies or read identifiers from your device, and may use that data to select and measure the ads you see here and on other sites. That processing is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one, and we do not control it.
We deliberately do not list vendor names we have not confirmed and do not maintain a name list on this page that could go stale and mislead you. The current list of our advertising partners is available on request — email [email protected] and we will send it.
We operate Google Consent Mode v2 for advertising and analytics consent signals. Where consent is required before storage, advertising and analytics storage remain denied until you choose. Details are in the cookie policy.
“Selling” and “sharing”
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never have.
However, California law defines “sell” and “share” broadly. Allowing advertising partners to receive identifiers and browsing activity for cross-context behavioral advertising may constitute a “sale” or “share” under the CCPA/CPRA, and similar disclosures may apply under other state privacy laws. We treat it that way rather than argue the definition.
We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
You can stop this at any time. Any one of these works:
- Use the cookie settings control on this site to withdraw consent for advertising cookies. This applies to the browser and device you use it on.
- Turn on Global Privacy Control (GPC). We honor GPC signals as a valid opt-out request for the browser sending them. GPC is built into some browsers and available as an extension for others.
- Email [email protected] with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share.” Because we have no accounts, our ability to apply a request beyond your browser is limited — we will explain what we can do and confirm what we have done.
An opt-out is stored in your browser, so clearing cookies or switching browsers or devices means you will need to opt out again.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected, the categories of sources, the business purpose, and the categories of third parties that received it.
- Access a copy of the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
- Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information — noting that we do not collect it.
- Non-discrimination. We will not deny you content, charge you a different price, or give you a lesser experience for exercising any of these rights. This site is free to everyone and stays that way.
To make a request, email [email protected] stating which right you are exercising. We will acknowledge within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days, extendable once by another 45 days if we tell you why.
Verification. We do not hold accounts, so we usually cannot connect an email address to the cookie or IP data collected from your browser. We will ask for the information needed to match your request to our records, and if we cannot verify it we will tell you plainly rather than hand data to the wrong person. For a browser-level opt-out, no verification is needed.
Authorized agents may submit requests with written permission from you; we may still contact you to confirm.
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas and others — may exercise equivalent rights through the same address, and we will apply them.
EU and UK rights
This site is directed to readers in the United States. If you reach it from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the GDPR or UK GDPR may apply to incidental processing, and we handle such requests on that basis.
Legal bases. Consent, for analytics and advertising cookies and any non-essential storage. Legitimate interests, for site security, abuse prevention and the aggregate measurement needed to run a publication. Legal obligation, where a law requires the processing.
Your rights. Access; rectification; erasure; restriction of processing; data portability; objection to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling for direct marketing; and withdrawal of consent at any time, which does not affect processing already carried out.
Complaints. You may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority, or with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you are in the UK.
Transfers. Our infrastructure and partners are based in the United States, so data will be processed there.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected].
Data retention
- Server and security logs — up to 90 days, then deleted or aggregated.
- Analytics data — retained in aggregated, non-identifying form; identifier-level analytics retained no longer than 14 months.
- Email correspondence — retained while we work on your request and for up to 24 months afterward, so we can maintain a record of corrections and accessibility reports.
- Cookies — retained for the lifetimes listed in the cookie policy.
Data held by advertising partners is retained under their own schedules, which we do not control.
Children’s privacy
ConcreteInfo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it. We also do not sell or share personal information of consumers under 16.
Security
We serve this site over HTTPS, keep our software patched, and limit access to the small number of people who operate the site. No site can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise. Because we hold no accounts, passwords or payment data, the amount of information at risk here is deliberately small.
Third-party links
Pages on this site link to manufacturers, standards bodies, government agencies and retailers, including affiliate links. Once you follow a link, that site’s privacy policy governs — not ours. We have no control over what other sites collect.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy materially, we will update the “last updated” date and note the change on the page. Continuing to use the site after a change means the revised policy applies to you.
