Lithium silicate densifier
A reactive liquid that penetrates concrete and forms additional hardened material inside the pores, increasing surface hardness and reducing dusting.
What does lithium silicate densifier mean?
Densifiers react with free lime in the concrete to fill capillary pores, which hardens the wear surface, improves abrasion resistance, and is an essential step in polished concrete. Lithium formulations resist the whitening and residue problems associated with older sodium and potassium silicates. A densifier is not a sealer against liquid staining, which is why polished floors often receive a separate stain-resistant treatment.
In practice
Densifying a dusty warehouse floor often solves the problem for a fraction of the cost of resurfacing it.
