Penetrating sealer
A sealer that soaks into concrete and reacts or lines the pores rather than forming a surface film, repelling water while leaving the appearance unchanged.
What does penetrating sealer mean?
Because there is no film, there is nothing to peel, scratch, or turn white, and the surface keeps its natural texture and slip resistance. Penetrating sealers are the preferred protection for exterior flatwork in freeze-thaw and deicing-salt exposure, where a film can trap moisture. They do not add gloss or enrich color, which disappoints clients expecting a wet look.
In practice
For a plain broom-finished driveway in a salt state, this is the right product, and it is invisible after it dries.
