What does stamped concrete mean?
Stamping happens inside a narrow window when the concrete is firm enough to hold detail but soft enough to receive it, which makes crew size and weather planning critical. It costs substantially more than plain flatwork because of the labor, the color products, and the sealing. Long-term appearance depends on the sealer being maintained, and in freezing climates the surface must still be air-entrained and properly cured.
In practice
A stamped patio is a multi-crew choreography, and a supplier being late by an hour on a hot day can cost the entire pattern.
