What is concrete made of?

Concrete is portland cement, water, sand and coarse aggregate, plus air and admixtures. Aggregate is 60–75% of the volume and cement paste glues it together.

What is a slump test in concrete?

The slump test measures how far fresh concrete sags when a cone mold is lifted. ASTM C143 governs it. Typical flatwork runs 3–5 inches of slump.
